Health, Safety & Wellbeing

CDW prioritizes the health, safety, and wellbeing of our coworkers across the globe by focusing on the four key dimensions of physical, emotional, financial, and social wellness. Coworker safety is a company value, business priority, and core principle of The CDW Way Code. Our "Home Safe Every Day" commitment reflects our mission of zero injuries and our commitment to the shared responsibilities the company and all coworkers have to maintain a safe working environment for all.

Health & Wellbeing

CDW's total rewards package for most coworkers include medical benefits, onsite and virtual fitness center access, an Employee Assistance Program offering therapy and coaching sessions, family planning support, time-off, mental health coverage, and more. Some of our key coworker benefits include:

Flexible time off
for salaried coworkers and a structured time-off package for hourly coworkers, supporting work-life balance across roles.
Safety programs
across distribution centers and offices grounded in a zero-injury goal and the mantra "Home Safe Every Day."
Mental health coverage
for coworkers for ongoing treatment needs related to mental health and substance use disorders.

Our team continually evaluates and enhances these benefits. We communicate information about health and wellbeing programs and resources through multiple channels and hold quarterly wellness workshops for managers to help leaders recognize and respond to coworker health and wellbeing needs. These workshops serve as one of many touchpoints connecting CDW's leadership to our people-first culture.

Coworker Safety

CDW's Global Security, Safety, and Business Continuity (GSSBC) program protects coworkers’ safety and security, whether the challenge is a physical security incident, an emergency notification, or a complex risk scenario that spans multiple locations. The GSSBC team safeguards coworkers, manages risk, and maintains a resilient enterprise brought to life through our “Home Safe Every Day” commitment. This work helps protect our coworkers' safety and security, whether they are traveling for business, working on site, or working at home.

GSSBC sets yearly safety goals and monitors them through distribution center walkthroughs, management and coworker safety meetings, and monthly safety talks where coworkers can voice concerns or ideas. We review incident trends, training participation, external threat awareness, and coworker feedback to continuously improve our safety initiatives.

Our Safety Protocols

All U.S. distribution coworkers complete comprehensive occupational health and safety training programs including distribution center ergonomics, material handling safety, safe lifting and injury prevention, and workplace violence prevention and response.

We use AlertMedia for mass emergency notifications, enabling rapid, targeted communication to coworkers across sites and regions during emergencies or disruptions and installed an emergency notification system at our U.S. distribution centers.

GSSBC maintains a 24/7/365 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) where coworkers can report incidents or concerns, or they can use the anonymous CDW Ethics Helpline. GSOC uses a messaging system to deliver actionable intelligence on emerging threats as they occur across physical, digital, and cyber domains to any affected coworkers.
